Army Painting 101: Aaron Lovejoy & Allan Pyle - San Diego, CA - May 25-26, 2019
Want to "wow" your friends, take your painting to the next level, and easily double your speed? Whether you are an army painter, commission painter, or display painter, this class is perfect for you! With nearly 33 years of experience between Aaron and Allan, they have learned tons of core fundamentals that are essential to being a successful miniature painter. From initial color selection and speed painting, to awesome finishing techniques, you will learn the fundamentals to set you on a path to success! The space marines and dreadnought were chosen as they work well with the teaching process. Once you learn the process you can easily transfer it to any model you like! The class is broken down into sections, each one building on to the other. To help you remember what you learned over the weekend, we will be providing a full color PDF covering everything you learned in the class!
Location: San Diego, CA
Dates: May 25-26, 2019
Time: 10am - 7pm both days, with an hour for lunch each day
Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced. All skill levels are welcome!
Figure for Class: Students will be required to bring a cleaned, built, and primed Primaris Redemptor Dreadnought & 5 Primaris Marines to class. We will send a fully detailed PDF on how to properly assemble, clean, and prime your figures for class.
Materials Needed: Airbrush & Compressor (general purpose airbrush [recommended: Badger Patriot 105] and a detail airbrush [recommended: Badger Sotar 20/20], if possible), Light/Lamp, Good brush (Kolinsky Sable size 1, Ex: Raphael 8404 or Winsor Newton Series 7), Nylon brush (Cheap craft round brush size 8), Wet Palette, Paints are optional (We will provide paints needed).
